During Chris's law enforcement career, he was a member of the Crowd Control Unit for over 12 years and during this time was involved in conducting risk assessments and planning operational tactics for events such as the World Petroleum Congress and the G8 Summit.
Prior to becoming a police officer, Chris served for six years as a Park Ranger in Kananaskis Country and was responsible for enforcement and public safety. In this capacity, Chris was tasked with coordinating and managing numerous search and resuce operations including technical high-angle mountain rescue and swift water resuce operations, as well as operating as a Search Manager on a vast array of searches for missing persons and aircraft in hazardous terrain.
Chris has been certified as an instructor or instructor trainer in numerous firearms, combatives, less lethal/chemical agents and emergency vehicle operation techniques. In addition, Chris has training in special event risk management and has conducted risk assessments and safety reviews for numerous organizations and corporations.

While completing this 600-hour program, Chris specialized in Stalking and Violent Human Behaviour, Explosive Countermeasures and Counter-Terrorism.
Chris has made presentations at National and International law enforcement conferences on a variety of topics and his articles have been published in various magazines and periodicals.
Chris has been qualified at Provincial and Federal Court as an Expert in Firearms Safety, Police Firearms Training, Law Enforcement Use of Force Training and Evaluation, and is certified as an instructor in Verbal Judo and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). Chris is also certified in Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy. Chris is the Director and Chief Training Officer for Raptor Protection and Safety Services.
